A year since Mountain Valley commenced operations, three new projects and a potential compression expansion on the mainline converge around a critical junction: Station 165.
What Happened?
On Monday, August 25, 2025, Plaquemines LNG requested FERC authorization to introduce hazardous fluids to Block 18 by Thursday, August 28th, 2025.
What’s the Impact?
Our first LNG forecast for Block 18 has shifted to September 19th, four days earlier than our previous forecast. Historical analyses of prior blocks indicate an average span of 21 days between the authorization to introduce hazardous fluids and the start of LNG production.
Please note that Block 18 is the 16th block to request hazardous fluids.
